Wednesday Meals 2

My kitchen is finished – well at least the painting is.  I just have to put the splashback up behind the cooker (have got that), tile the window sill (need to choose tiles – hopefully tomorrow) and under the window and then add a wall decal to one of the walls (waiting for it to come).  Really pleased with the colour after the problems that I had with the paint – very thin and watery.  I thought the solution was going to make it a more pastel lemon colour, but thankfully it is still quite bright – which is what I wanted.

Today has been neutral, mainly waiting around for people who were late and also trying to give the kitchen a good clean before moving everything back in, which when your back is hurting and making you have to stop for a rest every 1/2 hour when all you want to do is get stuck in is not much fun.  I know things could be worse and I am thankful that I am still able to do as much as I can, it’s just frustrating not being able to do as much as I would like – if that makes sense lol

One good thing is that when I got weighed this afternoon before having a shower, I weighed 2lbs lighter than I did on Saturday morning 😀 Fingers crossed that between now and Saturday morning things don’t change too much (unless of course it’s in the right direction lol!)

Wednesday Meals 2

 

I had an early tea tonight – 4.30pm as I had an appointment at the carers centre for a back massage (which was heavenly 🙂 ) and I didn’t get back home till 6.30pm and I hate eating late.  So I had tea early and then had the fruit when I came back.  Only had 1 treat today – the lightest philly at dinner time.  Still loving Simple Start 🙂 although I’m concerned that I’m having more bread – i.e. thins at dinner, than I would usually.  Not sure how accurate the scales will be on Saturday because of other factors but we shall see and if they’re not that good I won’t be too concerned.  I will be pointing next week as planned anyway and will then maybe try Simple Start again the week after – will just have to have a think about something else to have with soup at dinner that doesn’t involve bread – anyone ideas?

I’ve managed to pp the alcohol I had last night:

My sister made some hotpot but because I had filled up with my tea and fruit after (and also a lot more alcohol than I am used to!) I didn’t have any.  I had a wonderful time and at midnight we set fire to Chinese Sky Lanterns and made a wish.  My great niece (who is 4 and did well, after having an afternoon nap, to stay up that late) wished that she would turn into a mermaid lol.  She really is a cutey!

This morning was another story!  I was sooooo ill.  It didn’t help as I didn’t go to bed until about 2am and I woke at 7am and couldn’t get back to sleep.  I eventually managed to fall asleep on the settee mid morning and had an hour and half and when I woke up I felt a lot better! biggrin Unfortunately I was craving chocolate which didn’t help with my weeklies (or lack of them!) but I’ve pointed everything that has passed my lips over the past 2 days.  I haven’t had the pineapple and red grapes yet – they’re there just in case. Tomorrow is a new day, back at work and back in a routine and from here on in I will be staying on track within my daily and weekly pps.
